LifeWay organizes volunteer mission trips as an opportunity for employees to share the salvation, peace and joy only Christ can give.
To the weak I became weak, in order to win the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that I may by all means save some. Now I do this because of the gospel, that I may become a partner in its benefits. (1 Cor. 9:22-23 HCSB)
In the second chapter of Philippians, Paul writes that Jesus humbled himself 'so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow - of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth - and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' In Paul's letter to the church in Rome, he asks, 'And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent?'
The Great Commission commands us to go to the ends of the earth preaching the great name of Jesus because of His great love for all people. It is a joy to be among people here at LifeWay who live as those who are sent. I pray that you will consider being one of those of whom Paul referenced in that same passage in Romans 10: 'How welcome are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!'
God has great plans for us and these mission trips are just the beginning. To God be the glory.
For the glory of God in every nation,
